Qualifying on the Saturday, again with good weather conditions, went well and James qualified third in his class and fifth in his group.
In race one James got a solid start and went into third place in the first bend. With some good battles James came over the line in fourth, third in his class.
Race two James got a good run into the first corner and settled into a steady rhythm. Some hard fought battles ensued between two seniors with one going wide at the hairpin allowing James to slip through and get a gap to finish fourth, third in his class.
Race three started slightly wet but with dry patches, making it a difficult choice for tyres. James got his best start yet of the weekend sand slotted straight into second, again the youngster battled with Carl and Graham, swapping places all through the race and finished in fourth, third in his class.
Race four, conditions were dry, another good start, this was another hard battle with every lap positions changing.
James takes us through the last race “I had to really focus on not making any mistakes as we were riding very close together, coming into the last lap we were starting to come across back markers. As we came around the last bend it was very close between Luke and myself. The bikes were pinned as we came into the straight, side by side. But I just got pipped by 0.014, giving me a fourth in my class. Over all it was a good weekend, we had mixed weather but didn’t cause us any issues. I had some really good battles and close riding which was all good experience for me. A big thanks to our sponsors.”
