CRISTINA Palmer took to the mud for the first as a YRF rider in the SBEC’s second round of their Hare and Hound series.
Running the reverse circuit of their first round in February, a few additions were added to the loop to add that extra flavour.
The day was split over two sessions, Youth group first and then later the adult race.
The youngster from Innerwick, burst in to action as the flag dropped and raced in to fourth overall.
Cristina held her position for most of lap one and then slowly dropped in to a consistent rhythm, posting six minute laps.
The young racer fought hard on the YRF KTM 65 amongst the bigger capacity 85cc machines.
After an overall time of 1:33:08.5 Cristina took the flag finishing in first position in the 65cc class and ninth overall for the youth group.
Cristina now looks forward to the first race of the NE-XC series at Woodhouse on the 27th of March alongside YRF team mate Jack Hughes.
