YRF Junior Enduro Duo of Cristina Palmer and Jack Hughes headed for the start line of round three of the Motul Endurotek North of England XC championship at Thorp this weekend.
The youngsters have been practising none-stop in preparation for this round and with glorious weather and a large entry, this event was looking even more appealing.
Ten competitors lined up on the Junior class start line for the event all accompanied by an adult rider.
“I absolutely loved the North of England XC round at Thorp at the weekend” Said Race 2 off-road rider Jack Hughes “It was technical, but great! Some of the other riders had fallen off but I managed to keep it upright, even though my rear was kicking out. I was running in fifth until I took the wrong route, I might not have come away with a trophy always come away with more friends… And a Yorkshire accent!”
Jack’s YRF team mate Cristina Palmer brought it home for her maiden win of this championship. “I loved the track” said Cristina “I was disappointed with my result at the last round and knew I had to do better. It really helped me keep going when the spectators were cheering us on. I’d like to thank to the YRF, Wulfsport, G Force and Rock Oil for all their support.”
The top three places were finished off by Joe Cooper in second and Harry Mugridge in third.
