Alderson Battles Through Clutch Issues

JA49

JAMES Alderson headed to the Norfolk Broads this weekend, to race in the fifth round of the Hel British Motostar Championship.

The teenager got off to a positive start running with the front group of the first free practice, however his lap times slowly started to drop off.

Qualifying one set the grid position for both races due to an unexpected shower during the second qualifying session on Saturday morning.

Starting race one from eleventh on the grid James pushed to stay with the pack but struggled to keep the pace, eventually crossing the line in eleventh.

“Two eleventh places this weekend at Round five of the Hel Motostar Championship at Snetterton.” Added James “Weather was mixed again but two dry races, it was a fast pace and I was losing time on the straights we changed the gearing but it didn’t make a lot of difference to my lap times. We found out on the last race I had clutch issues. Fingers crossed we are through these teething problems and I can concentrate on some better results. A big thanks to my pit crew Dad and Lee. Thanks to Paul and Charlie Wheatley and John from LS2 Helmets for your help and support at the weekend. Finally, thanks to my sponsors NGK, YRF, EC1, R Alderson and Sons, Burnell Fencing, Vroom Media, Forte, LS2 Helmets, Wiz Racing, Daytona, Morson Photography, Ohlins Suspension, Customs Coachwork’s, Brembo and to Bikewise, Family and Friends for your continued support. Well done to all the riders.”
