LEWIS Rollo faced his toughest weekend this season at Thruxton for round seven of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 championship.
The young scot had never raced at this particular circuit and had struggled to get to grips with the fast flowing track during practice and qualifying.
Although enjoying the speed of the track, Lewis struggled to run with the front during qualifying placing him in twenty-fourth position for the race.
Before warm-up, the team made some adjustments to the bike and Lewis jumped to the top of the timing sheets.
Come race day Lewis put on a gallant effort to race through the pack charging from twenty-fouth to ninth at the flag, giving him the points needed to stay with the leaders of the championship.
“WeNever had the best of weekends at Thruxton” added Lewis “But for my first time there, going from twenty-fourth to ninth in the race I thought was not so bad. I can’t wait for brands GP now, another track I haven’t been to. I’d like to give a big thanks to all my sponsors and everyone for the support. We will get back up onto they boxes I promise!”
Lewis will race next in the eighth round of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 championship at Brands Hatch GP circuit on the 5th to the 7th of August.
