JAMES Alderson headed south this past weekend to compete in round seven of the Hel Performance Motostar Standard Moto 3 championship in Kent, on the infamous Brands Hatch GP circuit.
The North-Easterner has experience on the GP circuit from the previous season in the Kawasaki cup and was eager to use this to his advantage.
James used his time on track to continue learning how far he could push the Honda NSF 250 R, and where he and the bike gelled.
Qualifying was very positive step in his season so far with his best position yet, but more importantly closing down his lap times to those running at the front.
As a bonus for this weekend, a race carried forward from the previously cancelled Moto 3 standard/Moriwaki Junior Cup race at Silverstone was to be run on the Saturday evening.
“Not the best end to a productive weekend, qualified p9, best one of the year.” Added James “Race one and two went ok finishing p10 in both races, but unfortunately I had a big crash into Hawrthorns bend in race three today. Thank you to all my sponsors, LS2 helmets, Young Riders Fund, NGK, Wiz Racing, Burnell Fencing, EC1, Vroom Media, Custom Coachworks, Morson photography, FORTE, Bikewise, family and friends, Ohlins, brembo, R.Alderson & sons, Frey Daytona.
