JAMES Alderson headed to Lincolnshire this past weekend for the eighth round of the Hel Performance British Motostar Moto3 Standard Championship.
The North Eastern youngsters weekend started strong with a sixth place in first practice before a rain shower scuppered the session.
As the weekend progressed James stayed positive and pushed hard, advancing his lap times each session eventually qualifying in tenth.
Race one saw James pushing and staying mid pack tussling for sixth place. However, as the flag fell James crossed the line in tenth place.
Race two was hampered by an incorrect gearing decision by the team leaving the youngster unable to pull up to the group in front. Despite this misfortune James managed to cross the line in seventh place.
“Qualifying one went well I managed to get P6” added the youngster “But I dropped down to tenth in Q2, race one I finished in tenth with some good battles with Shane and in the second race finished seventh. It was great to see some friends, Franco Bourne, Liam Bassett, Jake Hopper and families, and thanks to Joan from Bikewise for your help, also John McQueen and Paul Wheatley A big thanks to my pit crew Dad and Lee Vasey.
