About Ross

ROSS Turner has been racing for two years.

The eight-year-old had his first taste of riding a motorcycle at the tender age of three and was quickly bitten by the bug. After a few years learning the basics with dad Simon, he took his first racing steps aged six.

In 2012 he will contest the Fab Racing Minimoto Championship, entering the 4.2 Junior and Junior Production classes, and will also spend time getting to grips with his 50cc Metrakit machine.

During 2011 he concentrated on improving his speed and style, and the hard work paid off when scored his best result of fourth in a race, beating youngsters much older than him.

He has a methodical approach, spending his practice laps working out the best lines and breaking points that help create his smooth and controlled riding style.

Goal for 2012: To improve on last year’s results and develop his style and speed. He hopes to find a bit more aggression and is working on spatial awareness and stamina building.
